Voluntary and community groups are being urged to apply today
The Heritage Council is now accepting applications for its Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2025.
This scheme is intended to enable communities to continue their work on existing heritage projects or to start new initiatives.
Voluntary groups, community groups and not for profit non-governmental organisations are being encouraged to submit their applications today.
Applications must be made via the Heritage Council’s online grants management system.
The closing date for applications is Friday, 14th of March 2025 at 11pm.
The variety of applicants who successfully secured funding in 2024 demonstrates the positive impact the scheme has across the heritage spectrum.
Everything from 3D scans of objects from collections in museums around the country, to a display case for a silver chalice dating back to 1647 have successfully received funding, along with various conservation, restoration and research grants.
