A woman has died following a serious incident at Rosslare Europort this evening.

It's understood the woman was fatally injured during an incident on a ferry which arrived from Fishguard

The Stena Nordica sailing from Rosslare to the Welsh port has been cancelled this evening as a result.

No other sailings have been impacted and the port is operating as normal outside the affected ship.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and has been detained for questioning at a Garda Station in the east of the country.
