An armed man has escaped with an undisclosed sum of money after a raid on a cash in transit van in south Dublin.
The van was at Killiney Shopping Centre shortly after 10 O'clock this morning when the man, who was armed with what appeared to be a gun, approached and threatened a worker.
He seized the cash box, and made off in a red Peugot-type van in the direction of Blackrock, on Rochestown Avenue.

No shots were fired and no-one was injured.
Gardaí have launched an investigation.
