Armed raiders have made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after targeting the Bank Of Ireland in Edenderry in Co. Offaly.
At about 3:40pm this afternoon 2 armed men dressed in full motorbike gear including helmets entered the busy premises.
The raiders were carrying handguns and threatened staff before an undisclosed amount of money was handed over.
There were about 7 or 8 customers in the bank at the time.
However no shots were fired and nobody was injured in the incident.
The raiders made their escape on a black Honda motorcycle towards Dublin.
Gardaí at Edenderry are appealing for witnesses.
