Two men in their 20's have been held overnight following an armed robbery in County Offaly.

The men, who were wearing balaclavas and armed with a knife, held up and threatened staff at a shop in Geashill shortly before eight o'clock last night.

They left the store with a sum of money which was later recovered.

One of the men was arrested minutes after he left the shop, while the second man was picked up by gardaí in a car a short time later.

They're being questioned at Tullamore Garda Station.
