Thousands of customers in Limerick city and county have had their power restored overnight following a major outage.
Around 2,000 customers were originally reported to have been without power.
The power went out just after 7pm yesterday evening, following a fault in the Southill substation.

Locals said they heard a loud bang and saw a bright light before the electricity went out.
