An arrest has been made after a family was found dead in an apartment in Paris on Christmas Day.
The bodies of four children had been found alongside their mother in the town of Meaux – 40km east of Paris.
The children were aged between nine months and ten years old.
Police were alerted to the incident by concerned family members of the victims.
A murder investigation was then opened by the Versailles judicial police service.
A manhunt ensued to capture the chief suspect who had been identified as the 33-year-old father of the children.
He was arrested earlier this morning in the town of Sevran.
