Jozef Puska has denied murdering schoolteacher Ashling Murphy in Offaly last year.
33-year-old Mr Puska, of Lynally Grove, Mucklagh, pleaded not guilty before the Central Criminal Court this afternoon.
A jury will now be selected to hear Mr Puska’s upcoming trial, which is expected to last for up to four weeks.

Ms Murphy was killed on January 12th, 2022, while out for a run along the Grand Canal in Tullamore.
Mr Puska's trial was originally scheduled to take place in May, but it was adjourned to give the prosecution more time to prepare the case.
The trial was then due to take place on October 2nd but was delayed two weeks after it was announced that there is a requirement for a pre-trial hearing before a jury is selected.
