The grandmother of a five-year-old boy with a brain tumour - taken to Spain by his parents - says the reaction by police has been "absolutely disgraceful".
British detectives insist they had no choice but to issue to an arrest warrant - after the family disappeared on Thursday - because Ashya King needs regular expert treatment.
Spanish media say King's parents are due before a judge tomorrow - accused of child cruelty.
However, they maintain that they wanted to find proton beam treatment for their son.
Patricia King says she can't get hold of her son - who was detained with his wife in Malaga last night.
