At least 12 people are dead after a powerful aftershock hit southwest Pakistan.

The region was already devastated by a tremor which left more than 400 people dead on Tuesday.

Today's 6.8-magnitude earthquake was felt in the remote region of Awaran in Baluchistan province, and forced some of those injured in the first quake to flee the hospital building. 

Officials fear the death toll could rise.
