At least 50 people have been killed in a car bomb attack in Afghanistan.
It is reported a man drove a 4x4 packed with explosives into a crowded market in the Paktika Province.
The attack happened during busy Ramadan shopping hours. Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The attack took place close to the border with Pakistan's North Waziristan region, where the military has been attacking hideouts of the Pakistani Taliban in the past few weeks.
Reports say police had been tipped about the car and were chasing it when it exploded.
It is believed the attack also wounded more than 40 others. All the casualties are civilians.
