1/5 farmers facing animal food shortage
20% of Irish farmers are suffering from a shortage in animal feed despite the summer's good weather.
The first six months of 2013 saw an unprecedented deficit in animal feed across the country with hay and silage having to be imported from Europe.

One in five farmers is still affected by the shortage.
