Bidders from around the world are vying for 30 million euro worth of distressed property at the Allsop Space auction in Dublin this lunchtime.

Among the properties to be sold so far is the Boylesports building in Dundalk, Co Louth - which went for 1-point-875 million euro.

However, the lot to generate the most interest today was a small plot in Kiltegan, Co Wicklow - which sold for 13-thousand - and all proceeds going to LauraLynn House.

Allsop's Robert Hoban says there's been interest from around the world - but Irish bidders are leading the way at the moment:It follows a sit-in protest at the auctioneer’s Dublin office yesterday - after which Allsops signed a declaration not to sell any property which is the subject of a legal dispute between registered owners and banks or receivers.

One of today’s 182 lots was a plot of land which sold for 13-thousand euro - with all proceeds going towards the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice Foundation.
