The Taoiseach has admitted Ireland will miss the target of getting some of its banking costs back by next June but is still confident that Ireland will be able to strike a deal and recoup some of the debts.
But Enda Kenny says if Ireland does get a refund of its banking costs, it will be after next November.
Ireland's hoping to recoup some of the billions it spent saving AIB and Bank of Ireland, under a system which has now been replaced for future bailouts.
Enda Kenny says other EU countries recognise that Ireland had to bail out its banks, while other countries won't have to do the same in future.
