Taxi drivers have taken to the streets of Dublin this afternoon in protest at changes to the industry.
It is causing severe disruption around Dawson Street and Kildare Street in the city centre as a result.
Full-time taxi drivers are protesting outside the Dail to highlight issues in the industry. They say it is the first in a series of protests.
The drivers say they will be forced to "ply for hire" with the changes that are being brought in - including the loss of ranks in Dublin city centre.
David Hynes from Sandymount has been a taxi driver for 16 years. He says they are at breaking point.
