Australian and US authorities have made seized a record amount of crystal meth worth an estimated A$1.29 billion (€800 million).
The drugs, which were bound for Australia, were seized in California on January 9th.
1,728 kilograms of methylamphetamine was found hidden in two containers which were said to contain audio equipment.
The seizure's been described as the largest ever shipment bound for Australia and the largest ever domestic seizure in the US.

25 kilograms of cocaine and five kilograms of heroin were also found during the operation.
Police in Australia yesterday arrested six people in connection with the investigation.
Three of those were due to appear in court in Melbourne on Friday.
A number of searches were also carried out in in British Columbia in Canada, where police seized 'a significant quantity of suspected proceeds of crime'.
Authorities in Australia said the drugs would have caused "immense pain" if they had reached communities.

Victoria Police's Crime Command Assistant Commissioner Tess Walsh explained: "Victoria Police has zero tolerance for those bringing harm to our community by importing and trafficking drugs of any type – with this seizure we have stopped more than 17 million drug deals from reaching our streets."
