An Australian tea company says it has made the biggest tea bag in the world. The Queensland-based firm says it has done this to raise money for cancer research.
The giant bag weighs 151 kilograms, stands 3 metres high and would make about 100,000 cups of tea.
It will be officially unveiled later this month at the Biggest Morning Tea event in Coolum.
But a company spokesman says they will not be dunking the tea bag in hot water because they do not have a cup big enough.
"That could be next year's record perhaps - the world's biggest tea cup" Brian Condon told ABC.
He is still waiting for official confirmation but is confident his company's tea bag is the world's biggest.
The current record of 120 kilograms is held by a company in England.
All About Tea's bag was 2.4m x 2.4m in size and weighed 120kg. It was unveiled in Portsmouth Harbour back in 2011.
