An Australian state minister has confirmed that he broke his arm taking on his Attorney General in an office arm-wrestling match.
New South Wales Minister Victor Dominello was in a sling for weeks after breaking his humorous bone in the match with Attorney-General Mark Speakman.
He was treated in the public health system and has since made a full recovery.
Speaking to The Australian newspaper yesterday, Mr Speakman said: “I don’t have any comment except there’s been no fracturing of my relationship with Victor.”
The paper also reports Government sources noting that 55-year-old Mr Dominello felt “the strong arm of the law.”
The State Minister has endured a touch time of it in recent weeks after one of his staffers quit over an alleged leak of private documents to a journalist.
The leak, which is said to have occurred in the run-up to the State's local elections, saw details of hundreds of motorists - including the opposition leader to a journalist.
