Searches are continuing for an elderly man after a fire broke out at a farmhouse in County Down yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the premises on the Ballynafern Road in Annaclone at around 7.20am.

According to reports, part of the first floor of the farmhouse collapsed and emergency services have to wait until it is safe to go in.

It is understood the man, who is in his 80s, was a wheelchair user.

Investigations are continuing into the cause of the blaze.
