Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger have announced they’re getting hitched.

The pop singer’s spokeswoman has confirmed they became engaged recently after dating for six months.

Lavigne’s been married before – she filed for divorce in 2009 from the Canadian musician and producer Deryck Whibley after three years together.
