A baby boy is in a serious condition in hospital following a road crash in Dublin.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision which happened at the junction of Hamptonwood Green/Hamptonwood Avenue in Finglas yesterday.

A post mortem is due to take place today on the body of a 42 year old man who was killed in a crash in Co. Carlow yesterday.

Seven other people were injured in the collision.

Two of the injured had to be airlifted to Waterford University Hospital.
