Balbriggan Beach in north County Dublin is closed to bathers until further notice.

Fingal County Council says it’s as a result of a manfunction at the Isaac’s Bower Pump Station which caused an overflow of sewage

The Council says the malfunctions were caused by power interruptions caused by the recent bad weather – and it wishes apologise to users of Balbriggan beach for the inconvenience caused.
