The man convicted of murdering the mother, brother and nephew of Jennifer Hudson will spend the rest of his life in prison.

The actress and singer was in court in Chicago when her former brother-in-law William Balfour was handed three life terms for the 2008 shootings.

His lawyers say they’ll challenge the sentence.
