A man who Gardaí have spoken to in relation to the deaths of a woman and her two children in Dublin is under 24-hour surveillance.
Officers have spoken to the man, aged in his 30s, who was known to the mother and her two children.
37-year-old Seema Banu was found dead alongside her 11-year-old daughter Asfira and six-year-old son Faizan at her home in Balinteer on Wednesday.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information on the deaths to come forward.
They also reiterated their appeal to members of the public not to circulate social media speculation on the deaths, which they described as "uninformed and unhelpful to the criminal investigation."
A candlelit vigil was held in the Llewellyn Estate on Wednesday night for the family.
The resources of a murder investigation have been made available for the cases.
Robin Schiller, reporter with the Irish Independent, told Newstalk Breakfast the post mortem results will be key.
"On Wednesday evening they made contact with him and spoke with him, and they met with him again yesterday in the presence of his solicitor."
"He has not yet been formally arrested, Gardaí are still awaiting the completion of post mortem results and other inquiries before they progress their investigation.
"But they certainly have very serious concerns about his welfare, and they are also concerned that he may leave the jurisdiction before any action can be progressed against him.
"So they are now carrying out 24/7 surveillance on him to monitor his movements as they wait for those post mortem results to return".
"While officially Gardaí are still categorising these as unexplained deaths, preliminary examinations have led them to believe that Seema, her 11-year-old daughter Asfira and six-year-old Faizan died violently and many have been strangled".
