US President Barack Obama has moved to play down his differences with the Israeli Prime Minister ahead of Benjamin Netanyahu's address to Congress later today.

Netanyahu is expected to tell US law-makers they should oppose an expected deal with Iran over its controversial nuclear programme.

The Israeli leader's position has angered President Obama who has refused to meet him during his visit to Washington.
