It is a bleak day in Scotland after the Carron Fish Bar in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire claimed it has been told to take down a banner identifying it as the home of the famous battered mars bar.
The council are reportedly behind the directive, but they are denying issuing the decree. In fact the local authority says it is just carrying out a clean-up of the town and other businesses have also been asked to tidy up their shop fronts.
