Motorists taking to the roads this morning are being advised that snow and ice are affecting driving conditions in many areas.
Met Eireann issued a national yellow weather warning on Sunday morning that will be in effect until 10am this morning.
There is a snow-ice warning for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo this morning but there are still cold and frosty conditions throughout the country.
Heavy thundery showers will increasingly turn wintry, especially over higher ground with some accumulations likely over hills, Met Éireann is warning.
Road temperatures are below zero in a number of areas this morning; particularly in parts of Leinster. http://t.co/vPp2YDZTF5
