A group of independent farmers has begun staging a protest in Dublin city centre this afternoon, amid the ongoing row over beef prices.
Around 30 tractors expected to block Stephen's Green south for the day.
However, those involved in today's demonstration say they will not block the whole city as a large group did during a 24-hour protest last month.
They say they want a fair price for beef and that if they don’t get it there will be 'no Santa for many farmers'.

In a statement, the Independent Farmers group said: "Farmer remain very frustrated with the lack of action by our current government to support an industry in distress.
"[We] are travelling from all over the country to converge on Dublin City on Tuesday 17th December to highlight the plight of farmers and the demise of rural Ireland."
They are calling for an 'urgent, immediate' beef price increase, as well as for an emergency meeting of the Beef Market Task Force to be convened.
