BA three month old baby girl has died in hospital in Belfast hours after her father appeared in court charged with causing her grievous bodily harm.

The child had been in a critical condition in the Royal Victoria hospital since being admitted on Wednesday night.

The PSNI say they will now be consulting with the Public Prosecution Service.
