Justin Bieber's pet monkey is now the property of Germany.
Mally was seized by German customs at the end of March after the popstar failed to produce the required paperwork on his arrival in Munich, where he was giving a concert.
The 19-year-old was given until midnight on Friday to produce health and species protection certificates for the Capuchin monkey.
Officials will now formally transfer ownership of the animal to the German state - and the singer will then have six weeks to contest the decision.
The shelter currently caring for Mally, who is around 20 weeks old, said the animal had been taken away from its mother too early and was receiving veterinary care.
