Blur and The Stone Roses are up for best act in the world at the Q Awards.

The groups who both re-formed this year take on Coldplay, Muse and Lady Gaga for the prize.

Blur and The Roses are up for two awards each as are Noel Gallagher and Florence and the machine.

The winners will be announced on 2nd October, at a ceremony hosted by comedian Al Murray.
