It is reported that several bodies have been found after a motorway tunnel collapsed in Japan.

It happened about 70 kilometres from the capital Tokyo - and emergency services had to abort earlier rescue attempts because of fears of a secondary collapse. 

Eyewitnesses at the scene say there is thick, black smoke coming from the tunnel.
