Gardaí in Wicklow searching for the missing Arklow teenager James Sheehan have this evening recovered a body from the Avoca River.
The body has not been identified.
Gardaí wish to thank Boyne Fishermen River Rescue who located the body as well as the help of the Garda Water Unit, Civil Defence and local volunteers.
The 18-year-old has not been seen in person since he left a nightclub in Arklow Town in the early hours of Sunday morning.
There was an earlier breakthrough in his disappearance after Gardaí viewed new CCTV footage.
They were able to track his movements to the Bridgewater Shopping Centre in Arklow.
He was there at around 3:30am last Sunday morning.
The search is now in its 5th day.
Over 100 volunteers have joined Gardaí in the thorough search.
