Gardaí say they are investigating all circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body at Balbutcher Lane in the Ballymun area of Dublin.

The body of the man, whose age is currently unknown, was found in a container.

The discovery was made at around 10:50am on Monday morning.

He has been pronounced dead and a technical examination is due to take place at the scene.

Gardaí say the results of a post mortem will determine the course of their investigation.

They add that investigations are ongoing.
