As Gardai in Kerry continue to investigate the death of a baby over the weekend - the infant's remains have been released to his family.
The 11 month old baby boy was found dead in a bedroom in his apartment in Killarney on Sunday.
Baby Karol Rozycki’s father, who was found with serious injuries in the apartment, has been transferred to Cork University Hospital.
Yesterday, Coroner for South Kerry, Terence Casey officially released the infant's remains to the child's mother Anna Rozycka and her family and the remains were being taken in charge by the family this evening.
The results of a postmortem carried out on the baby on Monday are not being released for operational reasons.
On Tuesday a mass at St Mary's Cathedral in Killarney was celebrated for Karol.
The Mass was held in the absence of his body; his funeral is to take place in Poland at a later date.
