The family of Ian McKeever will bring his his body home to Ireland today.
The 42-year-old mountaineer was leading a group of climbers up Mount Kilimanjaro last week when he died after being hit by lightning.
His removal takes place at 7pm this evening in Roundwood, Wicklow before his funeral mass tomorrow morning.
Tributes have been pouring in for Ian since his death on Wednesday 2nd January 2013.
The Taoiseach was among those to pay tribute to the Wicklow native after getting to know him through his charity work.
Eugene Grey is a friend of Ian's and he says the outpouring of support has been overwhelming:
