Gardai in Dublin are investigating after a man's body was discovered on a road in Tallaght.
It was found at around half past ten last night near the Bohernabreena Road.
It's understood the man, who's in his early 30s, may have been shot.
Gardai say the man hasn't yet been formally identified.
The body remains at the scene pending an examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Indications would suggest that the man died a violent death in a gangland-style attack.
The road is currently closed.
This is the 8th violent death since the start of the year - compared to 6 in the first three months of last year.
Gardai in Tallaght are appealing for anyone who was in the area last night and who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them.
