The body of missing student Jason McNulty has been found in Galway.

The discovery was made yesterday following coastal searches in the Rosscam area.

The 25-year-old from county Mayo was last seen leaving a hotel where he was staying at 6am on Wednesday morning.

An extensive social media campaign was launched after he disappeared.

A spokesperson for the family has thanked everybody who was involved in the search for Jason.
