The public is being urged to report bonfire stockpiles after a major fire caused the closure of one of Dublin’s busiest streets during rush hour.
The fire at a derelict building on Leonards Corner saw Clanbrassil Street closed to traffic.
Dublin Fire Brigade said it took four fire engines to bring the blaze under control, with ambulance crew on hand to evacuate a nearby office.

The fire brigade said Dublin City Council’s Dangerous Buildings Section would carry out a partial demolition of the building to make it safe.
It is believed the fire was started after a bonfire stockpile was set alight.
