The mayor of Boston, Tom Menino has said that authorities do not know if they will ever be able to question the surviving marathon bombing suspect.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev remains in a serious condition in hospital and unable to communicate.

The 19-year-old was arrested after a stand-off with police late on Friday night.

His older brother Tamerlan, who was also a suspect, was shot dead by police on Friday.
