One of the two boys found guilty of murdering Kildare schoolgirl Ana Kriègel will today appeal his conviction.
Boy A and Boy B were convicted three years ago; Boy B, who is now 17-years-old, was sentenced to 15 years detention with a review after eight years.
Boy A has not appealed his conviction or sentence.

Boy B is seeking to overturn his murder conviction and has employed a legal team; in July they were refused permission to introduce fresh expert evidence into the appeal.
The hearing is due to begin at 10 o’clock this morning.
