British Airways (BA) have apologised for an advert that encouraged customers to 'discover the Indian Ocean'. It comes as a search for missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 continues in that same area.
The operation has been scaled back due to bad weather until at least tomorrow.
The digital adverts for BA were seen on some screens at London Underground stations in the British capital.
But in a statement, BA says they recognise it is inappropriate at this time.
"Our Indian Ocean advert contained pre-scheduled content that we recognise is inappropriate at this time. We're sorry for any offence caused" the carrier said.
