A twin baby girl has been rejected by her mother after she referred to her as a 'dribbling cabbage', it has been reported.
The twins were born to a surrogate mother who says their intended mother happily accepted the boy, but refused the girl as she was born with a muscular disorder called Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy.
The baby girl is now being raised separately by the surrogate mother who was paid £12,000 (€15,000) to carry and give birth to the set of twins.
"I’ll never forget what she said to me on the phone. I could not believe what I was hearing," she told The Sun newspaper.
The surrogate mother claimed the mother (unnamed), who is also British, said the twin girl was "a f****** dribbling cabbage! Who would want to adopt her?"
The surrogate mother said her partner had to retrain for another career and take a pay cut in an attempt to rearrange their lives so they could look after the disabled girl.
