MPs have voted against the British Prime Minister's plan to hold a general election on 12th December.

Boris Johnson argued the House of Commons could work to pass his Brexit deal before then - meaning it's the perfect way to break the deadlock.

But opposition parties said they don't trust him.

The Lib Dems and SNP are proposing going to the polls on 9th December.
