Stars of British entertainment have turned out to say a final goodbye to Ronnie Corbett at a service held in London.
The comedy legend died last month at the age of 85 after a brave battle with a form of motor neuron disease. The service was attended by a multitude of popular figures, including Sir Michael Parkinson, David Walliams and Rob Brydon.
Speaking about Corbett, Sir Michael Parkinson said:
"What you saw is what you got. He was modest, self-effacing, he was a brilliant comic, very good actor too, very good comedy actor. And as a guy to be a friend of he was just unbeatable."
A notable absentee was Sir Bruce Forsyth, a good friend of Ronnie Corbett, who was unable to attend due to illness. He was represented by his wife Lady Forsyth.
Four candles burned at the back of the altar, to commemorate an iconic sketch from his career as part of The Two Ronnies show which he co-hosted with Ronnie Barker. Four Candles will also be remembered as the Fork Handles joke.
