The brother of Eurovision winner, MEP and former Presidential candidate Dana Rosemary Scallon has been cleared of all five charges of historic sexual abuse.
John Brown (60) was cleared of the accusations of indecent assault against two underage girls during the 1970s.
Mr Brown was a member of Ms. Scallon's election team when she ran for the Irish presidency against Michael D. Higgins in 2011.
The jury was deliberating for almost two days on the charges, after hearing evidence for two and a half weeks.
Mr Brown, of Berkshire in England had denied all of the claims.
