The brother of a woman shot dead at their family home in Dublin over the weekend has appeared in court charged with firearms offences.
Derek Boyd is accused of having a gun and ammunition at the house at Collins Place, Finglas in Dublin 11 on the night of his sister's death.
Sandra Boyd, a 36-year-old mother-of-five, died in hospital on Saturday night after being shot at her parents' home at around 8.40pm.
Her younger brother, Derek, appeared before a late sitting of Dublin District Court on Wednesday charged with having a semi-automatic pistol in his possession at the house that night.
He is also accused of having have live rounds of 9mm luger calibre ammunition in his possession at the same location on the same date.
Mr Boyd, who is 27-year-old and was visibly upset during the court hearing, was remanded in custody to appear in court again this day next week.
