Brown Thomas is to create 200 seasonal jobs at its flagship store on Grafton Street in Dublin.

The full and part-time temporary positions will cover the busy Christmas and New Year period at the luxury department store.

The jobs will be in fashion and beauty sales, sales support, cashiering, gift wrapping and in the stockroom.

It follows similar announcements by a number of other major stores including Marks and Spencer, which is to create 440 seasonal jobs in the run-up to Christmas.
