Cheese lovers in Thailand can now get a meatless burger packed with 20 slices of American cheese.

'The Real Cheeseburger' is being offered at the fast-food chain's locations across the country for a limited time.

Burger King promises the burger offers “a real cheese taste”.

Stuffed with just a thick wedge of unmelted cheese, some people took to social media to brand the dairy-filled bun as "heaven" - while others called it "revolting".

Irish Thailand resident Travis Leon said the burger “is not even displayed on their menus”.

“I saw this online, and I really thought it was a joke,” he said in a TikTok.

“As expected, it tastes exactly how I imagined 20 slices of cheese would taste.

“I decided to take it home and melt it just in case I was missing something [but] it pretty much just tasted the same.

“All I can is if you really love sliced cheese, then this is the burger for you.”

'A thick sandwich'

One customer recommended people should buy the burger and then "separate the cheese to eat with bread in the morning".

Others compared it with toasted cheese or simply a thick sandwich.

It appeared on Thai menus at the weekend at a "discount" price of 109 Thai baht (€2.83) compared with a normal burger charge of 380 baht (€9.87).
