The NBRU and SIPTU have voted to accept a restructuring plan for Bus Éireann, which was brokered at the Labour Relations Commission.
Bus Éireann tonight welcomed the result of the ballot, saying it would bring stability to the company and protect jobs.
Earlier this month, workers staged a two-day strike in protest at proposed cuts.
Tonight, the company says the fact that the vast majority of staff voted in favour of the proposals - which will achieve 5-million euros in savings - protects its future viability.
Bus Éireann spokesperson Andrew McAlindon says cost saving measures will be implemented from the 1st of June:
